We ordered a set from Desser in November. They kept insisting on selling new "smoothies" which are new tires that are ground down and recapped. Very expensive - over a grand a set. All I wanted was new Goodyears. First date - ship Dec 8. Nope, Jan 12. Nope, some time in March, since the recent shipment was all spoken for.

Good thing I have spares. No idea what is going on - this has never happened to me before.

My impression of new "smoothies" is you have to be nuts to even consider them. First, it is not ecologically or economically sound. Second, they simply do not look like the original "smoothies" that Schenuit used to make. And third, I am not even buying smoothie recaps any more - they come with wear indicators, and are the wrong shape.

Grumble.
