I'm in Idahoe and flying the J-3. The former owner left a Pilot PA 2001K in the bird... I think I know why!
Previously flying, this intercom seems to be prone to lots of noise... Today while up near Sandpoint, the thing started squeeling as if it had feedback. Tried adjusting the squelch with no luck. Finally disconnected it and plugged the headset directly into my handheld.
I'm using David Clark H10-13X ANL headsets, and a Icom A24.
Any suggestions on
1. What the squeel was about.
2. Another portable intercom that works well in the noise environment of the J-3.
I'd be curious which intercom the rest of you are using...
