Radio Noise suppression

I get some noise on the radio in reception from all the low emission signals (people being a bit far away from the plane).
We have installed shielded harness and spark plugs which made great improvements compared to the old unshielded ones but we are left with this noise from the low signals which is a bit painfull.
I heard about the possibility to instal some noise suppressors on the magnetos.
Does anyone have experience with them and are they efficient ?
