I have a C85 with a sensenich 76AK on EDO 1320’s. RPM on initial power application in the plow is about 2150. Climbing at 60 mph it is 2260 verified with an optical tach. Level flight full power is 2460. The propeller is stamped 42 pitch and there is a log entry stating that pitch was checked and found to be 47 and it was re-pitched to 42. I’m wondering if I can take enough pitch out to gain 2-300 rpm on takeoff and climb? ie with 5 inches of pitch already removed is there a limit I’ll run into.
