First of all thanks for the wealth of info on J-3's, been lurking here since I started looking at J-3's and Pa-11's. About a month ago I purchased a 1940 J3C :D, but it has been pretty extensively modified for Alaska, so it's not yellow and not stock but a ton of fun.

I got it because I am working on my Sport Pilot license, may upgrade to Private later but this will be a great start. Have about 6hrs on instruction, all in the Cub, having a great time, and can't wait to solo!
