I'm new to the Cub group. Am considering trading my 1976 pristine Grumman Cheetah for a 1943 J-3 Cub (originally an L-4). Was wondering if anyone has any past info about N51525. I looked at it yesterday and have decided if the current owner and I are in agreement I'll make the swap (even trade).

Primary concern. When I flew it yesterday I had problems getting my feet to be able to dance on the rudder pedals and make contact with the heel brakes at the same time. For some reason they seemed to be caught in the front seat seat-belts and the cables running outside my feet. As a result, I embarrased myself by bouncing and almost lost directional control. I was wearing tennis shoes at the time and was landing on a hard surface instead of grass.

I don't remember this happening when I flew Cubs for the first time back in the early 90s. Anyone have any recommendations?
