Guys,
I have just read about the carb heat modification done by Jim Burris in 1974.
This used the cockpit heater warm-air bleed, taken off the exhaust muffler and channeled it to continuously warm the carb. This seems to have removed the need to worry "too" much about icing, even when the throttle was totally closed during a long glide.
A form 337 was issued, but in order to modify UK based CAA aircraft an STC would really help matters run smoothly.
So does anybody know if an STC was issued for the mod and if drawings exist?
Thanks,
Joe
