Empty weights

Mine is 756 (actual weight) for a non-electric A-65-8 powered J-3C with the basic six gauges, tall aluminum baggage compartment, and newer (probably thicker) floorboards. I have seen weights posted as light as 695 and as high as 860. Ones stated to be actual (as opposed to "in the book when I bought it") at 697 (730*) 737 741 and 802. Some people say "don't let it near a certified scale it will gain weight." I know of a T-craft that gained 27 real scale pounds during a recover and paint. I don't know how much heavier my floorboards are than OEM. I have a wood Sensenich. I know that some metal props are 20 lb heavier. Baggage compartment and seat mods can add pounds too. I read that an electric system adds 30 to 50 pounds, and it quite literally puts you on the FAA's "radar." My parents have a early PA-11 that is (actual weight again) less than 10 pounds lighter than my late model 3 It has six gauges, an A-65-8, wood prop, two wing tanks, an aluminum baggage mod, but no electrics.

Any thoughts? Are there breakdowns of weight published somewhere?
