This is a 1952 photo of (upgraded) L-4B 43-1438 assigned by the AAF / ADC to the Spaatz Field (Pennsylvania) Air National Guard Unit. It's one of the seemingly few L-4 photos where the stenciling is readable. Of note is the Crew Weight listed at 400 lbs instead of the standard 340 lbs.

Most L-4B's were upgraded from 1170 to 1220 gross weight. I don't know the legal, regulatory or insurance implications of having the Crew Weight painted on the side of your L-4 today, but they increased it back then for some reason, and I would be inclined to go with the 400 lbs on my L-4...of course assuming your empty weight and fuel capacity allow it.

Photo credit to RF35 / Rod Rhoads.
