I was reading through the C85 Stroker thread and someone mentioned the 85 was more desireable than the 90 because of the paper work required. Was this regarding the C90-12 as the C90-8 is approved as per the TCDS. Also the TCDS mentions the carb heat must be modified as per M Mullis's approved modification to achieve the necessary temp rise...what is this modification? The reason I am interested is while researching my C90 J3 I find no mention of the 90 ever being installed in the airframe records but the engine log has an entry in 1971 stating it was installed on my airframe. Is this all that is required? I thought a 337 referencing the TCDS as the approved data was required?
