Looking at potentially purchasing an L-4 and had a question for the collective. The details:
-Listed as 1944 L-4J
-Seller provided following as Army serial #44-801xx (which does'nt make sense from what I have researched here-atl east the xx part).
-Seller states airplane is registered with ser #21017. FAA shows it as 1946 J3C-65S.
Bob Turner is helping arrange having a long time L-4 owner go by and take a look. What should I ask that he confirm... the airframe #?
I have lots of pictures of the restoration and it looks very nice. Not totally hung up on 100% authentic L-4, just don't want to have to pay premium if it is not.
Thanks,
Randy
