I am selling one of my J-3 Cubs to make room for another J-3 restoration. The first Cub is a 1946, metal spar wings, 85 HP Cont., metal prop. 3,500 hrs. TT airframe with 30 Hrs. on the restoration and SMOH on the engine. It was completely stripped and carefully sand blasted, tubing replaced where needed, linseed oiled inside, epoxy primed. New swing out engine mount, new cowling, gas tank, boot cowling, instrument panel with tach and oil pressure/temp gauge rebuilt, new glass all the way around, new sealed struts from univair, Cleveland wheels and brakes, new 8.00 x 6 tires, new bungees, new horiz. stabs, new jack screw and housing( trim actually works while flying!) and new trim cable, rebuilt master cylinders, new canvas seat slings and baggage comp. All new hardware and control cables. Wings have metal spars, new leading edges and several new ribs. Original logs!
The engine is a Cont. C-85-12F and was overhauled approx. 30 hrs. ago. It has very strong compression as you'd expect and it has only used 1 qt. of oil in 20 hrs. All the yellow tags are with the engine and you may talk to the IA mech. who did the overhaul if you wish.
The plane was covered with and painted using the Air Tech system.
Asking $39,000 and it will have a new annual in July. Come see and fly in Lincoln, Ne. Call Jeff Clausen 402-416-2425

Cub #2 is a 1939 model with wood spar wings. Engine is a Cont 85 HP with new exhaust system, approx. 400 hrs. SMOH, metal prop. Stock 8.00 x 4 wheels and brakes, PA-11 struts. It is an older restoration, 1987, Ceconite with Randolph dope, always hangered and in very nice shape. $29,500 Lincoln, Ne. Jeff Clausen 402-416-2425
