Guys,

I thought you would enjoy seeing these photos of the TWs that came on the O-58A and L-3C. The gold unit came on the O-58A built November 1941. The Plain Jane wheel came on the L-3C built September 1942. Both have data plates that say built by Scott for Aeronca. The finish on both arms is a dark brown baked on finish. Both have wheels that are labeled Scott. The prewar Scott wheel is different than the one made in 1942.

The aluminum wheel on the O-58A was not painted. The aluminum wheel on the L-3C is painted OD green.

Best Regards,
Steve
