I wanted to share with you guys photos of original antenna wire still spooled on this old vintage reel antenna that I have. This is not a RCA AVA-120 has no data plate but I believe it maybe an older Learadio.

The antenna wire is a multi stranded copper wire with a fabric string interwoven with the copper strands. The wire is very small in diameter and very flexible. The two major strands are made up of a dozen extremely thin copper wires.

This reel antenna uses a large friction knob at the center for locking the antenna rather than the hole stops on the AVA-120.
