Does anyone know if this wing tip can be modified back to the original rounded bow?

I presume it is item 617 on page 18 of the TCDS.

Was the spar shortened by this mod? And would going back to round bows require new spars.

They are metal spar wings as far as I know.

Installed on an L4, not a J3.
