I'm in the planning phase of a winter wing rebuild on my J4 and I'm wondering what's stopping me from fitting J3 11½ gallon wing tanks in my 16 rib J4 wings whilst they're apart.
I'm guessing the distance between the compression struts dictates the angle of the drag wires. Does anyone have some dimensions from a J3 I can compare to and see if my drag wires will pass through a J3 tank?
