Evening,

I’m looking for any information about removing and replacing a 6 1/2 gal. wing tank (leaking) with the Wag Aero 11 1/2 gal. tank.

Is it possible to remove the tank without having to re-cover the whole wing? I have very limited fabric experience but I’ve been told that removing the current wing tank would cause the fabric to lose tension and therefore make it impossible to patch only the area around the tank after replacement.

From my reading so far it seems like it’s not uncommon to simply cut out a section of fabric which can be patched after the new tank is installed?

Any information would be appreciated.

Liam
