Been having an extended conversation with Cub people. I built a Wag Aero wood wing for a J-3. Put in the .7° washout and it flies beautifully With no bad habits.
I’m now building another wood wing for a Super Cub fuselage. The S Cub calls for a 1.5° washout. Is that because the 1.4° AOI in the J-3 has been increased to 1.8”(nominally)? Can I stay with the .7° as long as the departure is gentle and controlled or is there a reason I need to increase the washout? Increased washout adds drag.?.
