When it does finally get hot over here in the UK my A65 will cut out when throttle is closed for landing. I get the feeling that it is going to cut during the approach so have to tickle the throttle. I have had the carb overhauled and setup, and a new set of mags with leads fitted but still the same. In cooler temperatures all is fine. So I am thinking vapour lock. But where is the vapourising happening? Is it in the inlet tubes from the spider?
