Hi,
I am finally finishing up my C-90 for my 46 Cub which has a 65 with a new Mc Cauley 7443 metal prop on it now. I was hoping to use this prop on the C-90. The prop is certified on a C-90 at a length of 73" or less but not certified on a J3. My thought was to have a prop shop take a half inch of each blade making it 73" and have my A/I do a 337. Does anyone know if this has been done before? I have got conflicting comments from the FAA won't approve anything anymore to it should be a simple field approval. Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
