Hello,
I watch the electronic periodicals and their prices for Cubs and I am now watching this forum at some prices too. I know of two J3's that seem very reasonable.
I am not in the market for these two airplanes and have nothing to gain by their sales. Seeing these airplanes at Lake Hood Strip in Anchorage this past week while at the strip I took a couple of photos for my own and will pass one photo of each along. One of these planes is listed at 25K, the other at 24K.
I did take a photos of the for sale flyers on the windows, so I should include those photos too.
They may not be good aircraft, I have no idea. But they are reasonable, particularly when referencing the prices I see elsewhere. I think that the J3 does not have the utility for Alaska most of us need and that is why these planes are still available.
All the best.
