I know of six public use turf strips in Connecticut: Goodspeed (42B), Salmon River (9B8), North Canaan (N24), Hartford-Brainard (KHFD), Plymouth (N41). and Candlelight Farms (11N). Does anyone know of any others? We have petitioned the state to reinstall the previous turf strip at Waterbury Oxford Airport (KOXC), my home base, but we don't know when that will happen. Private strips require permission and some owners can be reluctant.
