Was flying yesterday and noticed that the little trim button (indicator) was not visible. Continued practicing landings with the airplane trim as is was. Today I noticed that the trim indicator was all the way to the right - nose down). When I rotated the trim crank handle forward and aft the trim indicator moved sideways but the elevator did not move at all. Doses anyone have an idea what might be wrong?

I had trouble moving the trim nose down when flying years ago - it worked fine on the ground. My IA at the time replaced the forward pulley and tightened the cable to no avail. I think the final fix was applying friction tape to the to the pulley.

Thanks
