The top root fairings that were included with my project appear to be some sort of original...Length and aft angled hem are correct for the J3. Bottoms are Zinc Chromate and have some dirt. Have mounting holes on both edges..they have been installed and flown . BUT. they are only 4.125" wide, not the usual 5.125"...so, they are too narrow to screw down on birdcage and root rib of a J3.....Anyone know what they came from ? or how they might have been installed ? BTW, the length is made from two pieces with a riveted overlapping splice.
