Hi,
I bought a 46 J3 with a 65 last year. It was delivered on a trailer as the owner in upstate N.Y. said there was a big problem with sales tax even thought I lived out of state in Ma. When it arrived my A/I and I decided to uncowl her and look thing over real well. One glaring thing was that we found the throttle cable was not attached near the forward throttle, and did indeed move as full throttle was applied. It was not visable but was obviously moving. The AI decided to cut (ouch) the fabric just forward of the cable to see whats going on. He attached the sheath to a tube member. As I investigated further It was clear the cable is supposed to exit near the forward end of the fwd throttle hidden under a cone shaped piece and attach to a bracket on the upper longeron. The interior when covered was done without the proper exit for routing. It doesn't appear that the cable can be brought up high enough to attach to the proper bracket from within the inner and outer fabric. What should I do at this point? Can the cable be moved and attached from it current routine to the bracket.

We are about to install a spanking newly overhauled c90-8 and this is the time to clear this up.

Thanks in advance for any help.
