Hi all,
Underneath the tube that holds the instrument panel, of the left side, is a small, bent tube forming a quarter circle hole for the throttle cable to go through. As I understand it, you are to cover around this tube, to form a channel for the cable. Question is, is there supposed to be an aluminium cover underneath the fabric to form the channel? If so how is it shaped and attached to the tubing (especially at the throttle end).
Best regards and thanks in advance,

PS I am recovering my 1946 J3 and at the same time restoring it to "original" configuration as much as I can.
