I bought a Lang tailwheel to replace my Maule after lots of research. After watching the video in the thread linked below I'm confused on the tension that is required when installing the springs. The video link in the thread, and several suggestions, state that the tension springs should be just snug, or a little tight. The instructions that come with the springs (details below) say that they should have a 25 to 30lb tension maintained to operate satisfactorily. This seems a little excessive to me, and not what is in the video, although those are compression springs which may be the difference. Thoughts and advice anyone? Thanks!

A couple other links I thought would be helpful to people researching tailwheel shimmy:

Instructions that came with springs (P/N 2151) state:
Note: It is very important that a 25 to 30lb connector spring tension be maintained if this assembly is to operate satisfactorily.
And in the install steps it states: "Cut off enough links from each connector chain to stretch spring approximately 1 inch when installed (this will produce a tension of approximately 25 to 30lb)
