Flying my newly purchased 1946 J3 Cub home, I landed on my home base grass field and struggled with the 180 turn to back taxi out of the dead end runway. The runway was 90 feet wide and I could not get the tail wheel to break loose and swing around. Worked my way almost to the end before I decided to apply more forward stick to nearly pick the tail up and swing her around under heavy power. Not my favorite thing to do on a plane I am not intimately familiar.

The Scott tail wheel was removed from the spring and sits at home waiting for me to tear into it and see what is up.

Any suggestions of what to look for inside? I have photos but I need to figure out how to post them. Diagrams and drawings on the web are hard to find. Many are 1/2 in x 1/2 inch images. Joe B
