The -8 A series is A21208 The -8 C series is 21208. It is essentially the same part just a different number. What size wrench do you guys use on this? I found a 23mm fits nearly perfectly. Can that be right? I robbed one off the A-75 for the stroker. The corners were chewed off in the past and was nearly impossible to break loose.

Think I use an adjustable wrench..The cast flats have some draft ...who knows what nominal size they were shooting for ! Would I be correct the -12 drive housing has RH thds because the -8 has LH thds ?

The -12 is way different it is connected with three studs or bolts. There are pictures in the parts catalog.

Have you ever noticed on the old stuff the foreign wrenches sometimes don't fit.

I busted one of these housings on my A-65-8 a few months back, got the replacement from a company in Long Island for around $80, the original part has been superseded with a much lighter weight housing. The A-65-8 is most definitely LH threaded...hope this helps a little...you can call Teledyne Continental and they can give you the numbers to dealers closest to you carrying the part.
