I have just fitted a rebuilt (by an approved shop) C-85 in my J3.

All seems fine except that I have a slight oil dribble from the tach cable.

I have had the tach drive assy off and checked the seal is pushed fully home but the dribble persists.

Is there supposed to be a little oil present between the inner and outer seals to prevent the outer running dry?
