I put new shock struts on my L-4B and went to look for the torque specs for the pivot bolts and could not find any reference in the J-3 Service Manual. I did find the L-4 Erection Manual stating to torque the bolts to 10-11 ft. lbs on the cabane attach bolts and 10 ft. lbs. for the axle bolts. That seems a bit tight. When I took the old ones off they were just barely snug. Any thoughts of torque values?

It was a good thing I replaced the shock struts. The old originals were binding and one had a crack just as the service bulletin describes. The tubes were badly pitted and the previous owners put a piece of neoprene hose inside for a bumper. If I get time later when I finish the annual, I will post some photos of the shock struts.
