I was wondering what's the best angle to tie the wings to the ground anchors? Usually I use whatever is available but was struck with the thought that I only have an opinion and not really any truth about it. I move the J3 onto the lake every winter, its that time again, and drill my anchors into the ice but what is the science or experience about what the angle of the rope should be with the wing tie point. As I drove by the airstrip this morning there was no evidence of any standard other than 'tie it to the ground'. Looking for some wisdom. Miles
