What is the easiest way to remove a Model 4301 Slick mag from my C85 powered J3? It looks to my mechanic that there is just not enough room between the firewall and mag. I need to replace a mag gasket that looks to be causing an oil leak. Another mechanic recently adjusted the timing which might have damaged the gasket.
Do we have to move the engine from its mount? Or is there enough room to remove the cap for more clearance.
I'm interested in how others have approached this problem.
Thanks,
Jim
