I working on a 46" J-3C 1220# gw with 3 tail wheel springs!

No. 1 Question : I just installed a bushing in the channel where the spring mounts to the fuselage .
I'm wanting to know what size bolt is required to attach the spring to the fuselage ! Does it take a 3/8" or 7/16 " ?
The reason I'm asking , the new short/ upper spring that I ordered from "U" has a 7/16" hole and the original middle spring
has a 3/8" elongated hole and lower springs has a 3/8" hole !

No. 2 Question; What is the torque required on said Bolt ?
The way I understand the spring set-up ( and I could be wrong) if the bolt and nut are torqued too tight and
when a load is applied to the three arched springs / the middle spring will be in a bind by not being able to slide between
the two other springs !

Any and all opinions will be appreciated!
