I was wondering if any of you can help me with some "newbie" type of questions.

If I wanted to get involved in buying a project J3 cub, how much actual work am I permitted to do since I am not an A&P?

If I bought a project plane to work on, would it require me to get it labeled "Experimental" for me to work on it?

If anyone can help explain how all this works, I would be very appreciative.
