If anyone knows of any L4 builders that are looking for an original L4 engine I have one still here. Its a 0 SMOH but has never been stamped over to A65 on the data plate. Not many of them still hanging around for doing a real nitty gritty restoration. It will have to be stamped before use in a civilian aircraft but never had the desire to do it till I had to. I also still have about 20 or more pictures of a 1946 original Cub that had never been recovered or modified in any way. I took them many many years ago. I can post them somewhere that everyone would have access. They are all very detailed of the airframe instrument panel and engine installation. I made my original pattern of just about everything off of it. The dollar patches and rib stitching along with the fabric methods can be seen in a lot of them. Might be of some use for anyone trying to do a 100% original restoration. All you have to do is find some good old Grade A cotton and some Nitrate Dope.
