I'm selling a single seat J3 replica .It was built in 1984 by a very reputable builder in Modesto Ca. It has approx. 150 hr tt ,cruise is about 70mph and lands about 35-40 mph. Aircraft completely gone through by original owner/builder and is ready to fly. The engine is a 50hp Revmaster. Aircraft weights about 500lb dry ,max weight is about 750lb. Fuselage is about 17ft long and wings are about 16ft. Looks just like a real J3 ,but only about 3/4 the size. Not for the tall pilot (anyone over 5ft 10 in. is too tall) Asking$6,000.I can't do deliveries at this time.Email for pics at [email protected]. *********************************AIRCRAFT SOLD************

I was impressed how faithful it is to a J3 in form and detail. Sure was interesting that a person would be inspired to build a 3/4 size Cub. Would really turn heads at a fly-in !

"-I told you it would shrink after laundry" ;D

Seriously, that is one cute little aeroplane and I agree, it is faithful to the original. I fly a lot of VW-powered airys and I'm very satisfied.

Just (L-)4 fun/ Jörgen

Well, it looks very similar to the Preceptor series of N3Pup, Ultra Pup and Super Pup which are 3/4 size copies of the J3. They are powered by a 1/2 VW and full VW engines like this one. The 3/4 scale does look very nice.
