I have an original set of J3 aluminum wheel pants. I am looking to sell them but I honestly have no idea what a fair price would be. I don't want to rip anyone off however, I would like to get a honest amount. They have some dents and dings but nothing major. All I can find on the net is the aftermarket ones. Any input would be great.
Thanks
J

There is a guy at Bowman Field (B10) that is restoring a J-3 Cubby and he is looking for a pair. I will pass this info onto him. If you are in the area swing by with your information on them his hanger is open.

If those are the same as J-4 wheel pants, I may be interested. If the J-4 wheel pants are not the same I am looking for a set with hardware. Thanks

e-bay is the right place to find out how much something is worth. Things are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Put a reserve on them, and see what the market forces bring. I'm sure you'll do better that way than just trying to set a price out of thin air.

I'd certainly be interested in the wheel pants, and I'd be glad to buy them based upon the auction process on e-bay.

Speaking of which, I just acquired a complete set of Call-Air skis for the J3. I have the same issue. So, I'll put them up on e-bay and see what the market forces tell me..

Are Call Air skis wheel penetration, straight or hydraulic?

I think these were made long before anyone thought of penetrating type skis. Nope, these are the nifty strap on unstrap type. They are a classic. My AI has a cub, and straps on a pair of these every winter and does all of his flying along side the plowed runway. It must take him all of 5 minutes to get them on both wheels. It's amazing to see how clever the old call air boys were.
