Hope you can help again. I have looked at past threads on this subject and think mine might be a little different. I had a minor oil leak around the crankshaft oil seal, mainly on the upper cowl. Unfortunely, I had the oil seal replaced with an Aircraft Spruce #24321 (now $94.75). An oil leak showed up around the new seal and was a lot worse, now mainly on the outside of the lower cowl streaming back toward the fuselage. After awhile I noticed an oil mist on my windscreen. This crankshaft oil seal was replaced with another seal and the mist on the screen is even worse but with little oil on the lower cowl. I have no idea what to do except try again. Any thoughts? I did notice when the IA was inserting the seal, he would apply pressure with a tool at one point on the side of the seal and the seal would lift back out 180 degrees from where he was applying the pressure. Not sure if that tells you anything as it may not have made any difference once everything was torqued together. Thanks, Joe
