Noticed on the annual inspection that the left lower aileron cable is wearing where it goes through one of the fairleads on the left forward lift strut. Oddly, it's the only cable that shows any wear on the whole aircraft. The right cable is perfect. Odd that it should wear on one side and not the other! Must be some odd harmonics or airflow going on.

I understand that the wear limit is reached when the individual steel cable strands can no longer seen. It's not quite to that point, but it's getting close.

Can someone recommend a source for a new cable?
