As the title states, I need help finding a nice C85 or better J3 cub. Overall, I'm looking for a plane that's in near-mint condition.

First and foremost, prices are literally all over the place...I've seen them anywhere from 25K to 70K! I have no real experience and have no idea how to navigate these numbers so I was hoping someone could help. I keep getting responses such as, "Well this isn't a normal cub..." or "It's brand new." That's great and all, but how does that justify asking 70,000 for a J3?

Secondly, what are some big ticket items to look out for?

Best engine choices? I think the C85 is as low as I'd go.

I don't want an electrical system (so I don't have to comply with ADSB, my airport is under a Bravo shelf) but I would like an electric start.

Thank you all for your time, I hope I can find the right plane for the right price.
