Hi all! I am well along in restoring a certified J3. This airplane underwent the Reed conversion many many years ago, but I want to improve it by adding additional (new) wing ribs between the existing ribs. I understand this is a popular and recommended modification. Does anyone know how to go about this from the legal standpoint? I've looked at the STC listing on FAA.gov but I don't see an STC allowing this modification. Even people who sell ribs (such as Dakota) are unaware of an STC to do this. Looking forward to your assistance. Thanks! Kim.
