Originally purchased my Cub with my good AF buddy in 1979. We were stationed together for 3 years. We went our separate ways in 1980 and I sold my interest to him upon reassignment. He has kept the airplane all these years and I just bought it back from him (at a very weak moment) and plan to do a full restoration and recovering over the next couple of years. The Cub is mostly stock and I plan to keep it that way during the restoration. I'm planning on adding an 8 gal wing tank and a small radio with a removable battery-style electric system. I'll also install the sealed lift struts and Grove brakes. Otherwise, it will stay stock. It's painted orange now (because that's the dope color the previous owner had). I plan to paint it Lock Haven Yellow.
