Is there a consensus on priming metal spars/ ribs? I know in the way back days seaplanes were primed with zinc chromate. My thinking is land plane to be hangered primers is not necessary, but may be beneficial considering mice damage from infrequently used aircraft. If primed what suggestions Variprime? self etching? Epoxy? Randoplate? I don't think the alodine prep is going to be a practical possibility in this case. Thanks again Tom.
