Nearing the point of putting parts on my wag project. Thought about cleaning and painting the tail wheel , took all the outside parts off but not sure how the fork comes off . The ACS cat. shows that the cap on top might come off to get at the nut. I thought I had better ask before I got the vise grips out. Any helpful hints on what to look for would be appre. Does the spring loaded keyway lock on turning of the tail wheel and unlock by turning the tail wheel as the keyway stem passes over the skirt on the main body. I forgot to mention that this is a maule tail wheel that came off a j3,single fork ,solid tire, 6 or 8"by 21/2, the tread surface of the tire on the ground looks to be worn to a taper. Would this be a problem with a bent axle or fork and would it affect ground control in the future on a hard surface Thanks Steve
