I'm looking for a Mac 1B90CM7142 for an experimental J3 with an O-200A. Any other props recommended?

Isn't a typical going price for one of these used and serviceable closer to $900?

I'm asking, not saying.

JimC:

The prop you recommend is 1B90 7142, but the one in Barnstormers is 7145. Is there much of a difference? Would it work just the same in my L4 with O-200?

The 7145 would choke the O-200 down. Of the top of my head (without calculating it) you'd probably lose about 5 hp., Maybe lose about 75 fpm in rate of climb at gross, More when light.

Thank you Jim. I'll let that one go then. I'll wait to find a 7142.

Then again it might produce an indicated 95 MPH cruise. ;) GUP
