For those of you considering mounting the $399 combo LED wing tip mounted nav/strobe set....if you use the old pre-exsisting base that is located forward on the wingtip at the front spar end...the curve of the wingtip bow will blank out the white "tail" nav light about 15 degrees each side of rear centerline and 5 or so degrees above and below directly behind aircraft....
Not so good.
