Since the Cub stalls at a lower airspeed with power on, shouldn't one be able to land at a lower airspeed with power and couldn't this potentially lead to shorter landing distances and safer landings (less kinetic energy) ? Yet I've never heard of any instructor teaching this. Is there a good reason for not landing with power ? (I'm only talking about the flare, close to the ground, not "dragging it in" on final)

Thanks for your thoughts ?
