I was having a good day today. Was getting the J-3 down and stopped within about 190-195 feet from the threshold. Had a 2 to 4 knot wind pretty much down the strip (grass) and had about 6 gallons of fuel on board. I'm pretty chubby and this is about 40 feet shorter than I usually stop. Was controlling my approach altitude better than usual, I guess. What's ya'll's consensus on the average stopping distance from the threshold when we're trying to get in short?
