just had to post this link in the proper section. This is another great clip from the site Nick dug out, this time from the Burma front of WW 2, a roadless region were airtransports were crucial. I always thought they used special L-4's for medevacs, but in this clip they seem to just strap a lightweight stretcher in a standard L-4. The average chinese soldier was probably comparatively short, but still amazes me that it could be done- maybe because it just HAD to be done.
